Seeking models for creative sessions!

Over the upcoming weeks I will be conducting several creative photo shoots to be used for promoting CJ Photo! As such, I am in search of several models who are comfortable in their own skin and of age (as I am not sure yet what the session will entail!)

Models must be outgoing, creative and up for anything! The session will be free for the participating models, and prints or a disc will be available for purchase by the models once the session is completed and photos are ready!

I would like to take a moment to extend my thanks to all of those who have supported Charissa Joy Photography in the beginning months! Your support was never unnoticed, and helped me get where I am today!

Due to the continued growth and popular demand, effective October 1 new pricing will be put in place. As such, any quotes that have been given will only be valid until that date...and your session must be booked and take place prior to. Anything after October 1 will qualify for the new pricing (to be announced in the upcoming weeks).

That being said, the fall season that is upon us is going to be a busy one! The kids are back in school, the leaves are starting to change...before we know it, Christmas will be here!! If you're anything like my mom, that means that you have already started your shopping!! Ladies, why not consider boudoir photos for that special someone this year? OR, guys...are you stuck for ideas for her this year? Pamper her with a spot in one of our boudoir marathons and make her feel like a goddess!!

It has been a very busy month for CJ photo, and judging by the date of my last blog post...it shows! As such, I am excited to announce that to better suit your needs and accomodate your schedule, I will now be offering daytime appointments for all sessions!

Maternity Shoot With a Very Dear Friend

This weekend I was lucky enough to be involved in capturing one of my very best friends in a very beautiful state. Shaun and Felicia are expecting the arrival of baby Sienna in the near future (hopefully sooner than later!), and being able to give her the gift of photos was an honor for me! Felicia is the first out of my group of closest friends from high school to experience parenthood, and I wish her and Shaun all the best in their upcoming journey! I so look forward to meeting Sienna, and I will be there waiting to welcome her into the world!

A tribute to Grandma

With Mother's Day just around the corner, I was very honored to be involved in providing Chelsey with a tribute to her grandmother. Chelsey requested that we incorporate a favorite photo of her late grandmother with photos of her 3 week old baby Zoe. I hope that Chelsey enjoys the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them, and wish her all the best for her first Mother's Day.

Spring Boudoir Marathon

Spring has sprung (well, everything but the weather!) and bridal season is rapidly approaching! Stagette parties, gifts for your significant other, or even just a self confidence booster! For the month of May, I will be offering a discount for those interested in a boudoir marathon. What is a boudoir marathon you say? It is the standard one hour of shooting time that I offer, in an undetermined location. What saves you the money? I dedicate the entire day to photographing boudoir! I will fit 7-8 girls into one day, and as a result--you ALL save money! Let me know if you are interested in participating, cost will vary according to how many participants there are.

Boudoir Party Bookings

Boudoir parties are a great idea for anyone interested in boudoir photography to check it out without splurging for the whole package! A boudoir party allows several of your closest friends to join in on the experience, each receiving their photos at a reduced price!

The host receives their shoot for free, provided that there are at least 5 participating models. This means that at least 5 of your friends must be participating in the shoot, and the cost to them is $50.00 / person. This includes 30-45 minutes of shooting time with me, and 5 digital prints for you to print as you wish (more prints can be purchased for an additional fee). If there are more than 10 models participating, their names will be entered for one of them to win their shoot for FREE!

CJ Photo loves to support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation! This year, we will be participating in the 2010 Run For The Cure on Sunday, October 3. For the month of April all shoots booked will receive 25% off of the package price, and 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation on your behalf (which means you also get a tax receipt!)

In addition, all shoots for women with breast cancer or breast cancer survivors are FREE! If you or someone you know currently has or has had breast cancer, contact me to schedule a FREE photo shoot that includes a disc with all photos taken.

Welcome to Charissa Joy Photography! I am an
aspiring young photographer in Red Deer, AB.
Photography has always been my passion, and I believe that everyone should have great photos. My goal is to help provide you with those great photos, so that you will cherish them for a lifetime to come!

My style of photography is not limited, and I will gladly take upon a challenge you may have in store for me. Whether you are expecting a baby, have had a new arrival or have recently gotten engaged (to name a few!), it would be an honor to photograph your special moments!

From there, we can determine what package best suits you and we can get your shoot scheduled!
